About the Author

Steven Briggs is a nationally recognized expert on law enforcement and prosecution topics and has trained numerous local, state and federal and civic organizations. He has had a diverse legal career, beginning as a clerk for the Oregon Supreme Court, then serving as a criminal prosecutor where he handled every conceivable case from trespassing to capital murder. He was then picked to serve as Chief of the Oregon Criminal Justice Division, where he managed a police agency, prosecutors, criminal intelligence analysts, crime victim advocates and a variety of other criminal specialties.
