SSC General Duty Constable Examination -  2017: A Big Opportunity for Youngsters

Staff selection commission will conduct an examination of General Duty Constable in 2017 for recruitment of approximately 57,000 posts. These posts will be in the departments like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NIA, and SSF. The entire schedule of the examination and application forms will be soon uploaded online. The applicants  between the age range of 18-23 years and passed 10^th from the government approved institute can apply.   The test will be conducted in three phases that is Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET), the online written test and lastly, medical test. The 2 hour long written exam will test knowledge and understanding in four areas namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness,  Elementary Mathematics, and English/ Hindi for 100 marks (25 marks each). There will be negative marking for every wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: The applicant must have to clear the examination of class 10th from the government approved institute.

Age Limit: Minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years,

Maximum age for this post is 23 years.

Age relaxation is applicable is applicable as per the rules of the organization for the reserved category candidate.

Aspirants will get Age Relaxation according to the norms,

OBC Candidates: 03 Years.

SC/ ST Candidates: 05 Years.

Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 06 Years.

Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST): 08 Years.

Selection Process:

Authority board will be organization various type of selection phases which are

Part B:  General Knowledge and Awareness

Current Affairs – International & National, Events related to India and its neighbouring countries, Indian History, Indian Culture & Heritage, Indian Constitution, Science & Technology, Indian & World Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity and more.

Part C: Elementary Mathematics

Fundamental arithmetical operations, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Discount, Mensuration, Ratio and Time, Ratio and Proportion, Number Systems, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Percentages, Averages, Interest, Time and Work and more.

Part D: English/ Hindi

Verbal Ability, Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension and more.

• Selected aspirants will get Rs 5,910 to Rs 20,200/- with a Grade Pay of Rs 1,900/-. After the completion of 8 years of regular service, Pay Band will be Rs 10,300/- to Rs 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs 3,200/-.
